The Secret Circle is a novel written by L.J. Smith who you may know also wrote The Vampire Diaries. The Secret Circle has been rewritten by Executive Producer Kevin Williamson and Andrew Miller to be filmed for the CW.
The Secret Circle TV show centers on a young girl called Cassie Blake (played by Brittany Robertson – Lux from Life Unexpected). When Cassie’s mother dies in a fire she has nowhere to turn but her grandmother. She goes to live in the town her mother was raised and attends the local high school. She soon discovers there’s more to the town than meets the eye. In fact, she discovers that there is a coven of witches and that she has powers too. She has no real choice but to join the coven and become the key to unlocking a centuries old battle of good vs evil. All in a days work!!
Also starring in the series are Thomas Dekker (Adam Conant), Shelley Hennig (Diane Meade), Phoebe Tonkin (Faye Chamberlain) and Gale Harold (Charles Meade).
The Secret Circle will air on the CW on Sept 15th 2011.
