The Secret Circle Season 1 Episode 1 Pilot Spoilers
Cassie Blake (Britt Robertson) is just a normal girl until the night her mother dies in a mysterious fire. Now an orphan, Cassie heads to Chance Harbor, Washington to live with her grandmother, Jane. Cassie’s pretty shy, but she’s quickly befriended by Diana Meade, a very sweet girl who also introduces her to the bitchy Faye, sidekick Melissa, and Cassie’s neighbor, Nick. Cassie also meets Adam, a boy that she’s attracted to but who also happens to be dating Diana. Later, Cassie meets Dawn Chamberlain, Faye’s mother and the school principal, who was a childhood friend of Cassie’s mother. After meeting people connected to Cassie’s mother’s past, she wonders why her mother never spoke about living in Chance Harbor.
After some mysterious occurrences, Diana and the others are forced to tell Cassie that they are all witches and she is as well. They explain that her arrival in town will help complete their Circle. But Cassie is extremely resistant to practicing witchcraft. We also learn that Cassie’s appearance in town isn’t just a coincidence. Diana’s father, Charles Meade, has helped bring the young witches together to further his own plans.

The Secret Circle Season 1 Episode 2 Bound Spoilers
After the recent events, Cassie decides she doesn’t want to get involved in this witch business and attempts to distance herself from the Circle. To help with this, she becomes friends with Sally Matthews (played by guest star Logan Browning), who is not a witch. But Cassie’s mere presence in town has given the other Circle members extra powers.
Diana is concerned that they’re getting out of control and wants to bind them. Faye isn’t keen on the idea. She’s thrilled with her new power and refuses to bow to Diana’s wishes.
Adam, who is also attracted to Cassie, fights his feelings for her out of respect to his girlfriend. But when fate keeps throwing them together, someone has to make a decision.
